2PM’s Junho appointed honorary ambassador for World Vision’s ‘Famine 24′ project

World Vision recently appointed 2PM‘s Junho as an honorary ambassador to help promote ‘Famine 24‘.
Famine 24′ is one of the main representative programs of World Vision, where for 24 hours, individuals can experience the lives of those around the world who are suffering from poverty, disease, and warfare.
This is a generation where one child dies from malnutrition every 4 seconds, and countries such as Korea, New
Zealand, the US, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, and more are holding this campaign in an effort to remember these lost lives.
Junho who has always been concerned with the pain of people all over the world deeply identified with the object of the campaign, and will now be promoting as an honorary ambassador for ‘Famine 24′. In addition to promoting the campaign, the singer also plans to participate in any ‘Famine24′ project being held in various Asian countries if given the opportunity. In turn, this is also expected to draw much participation from 2PM fans overseas.
At the World Vision event where Junho was appointed honorary ambassador, Junho remarked, “I hope that the children that I help will be able to grow up happily so that they too in turn can become individuals who help others. As an honorary ambassador of World Vision’s ‘Famine 24′ project, I hope to share the warmth and joy of ‘sharing’.”
World Vision’s Sponsor Development Director Jun Jae Hyun said, “We were deeply touched by 2PM member Junho’s participation as an honorary ambassador despite his busy schedule, and we would like to convey our gratitude. ‘Famine 24′ is an opportunity for teens to develop a ‘unified’ mentality, and a valuable time for them to learn about the pain and sufferings of the world. We anticipate that Junho will be able to further spread the positive message of ‘sharing’ across the globe.”
‘Famine 24′ will take place on August 18th at City Hall for 24 hours. You can find more information at www.famine24.net.
